The Vidya Vikas Trust runs Vidya Vikas School. This charitable and educational Trust was established in 1997, under the Chairmanship of Hon. Justice Mr. John K. Mathew, former judge of the Kerala High Court. An executive Committee assisted by the trustees manages it. The trustees are ambitious and enterprising academicians and professionals determined to translate their dream of establishing “school with a difference” where there will be no commercialization of the classrooms but imparting quality education for the children of the twin towns of Kothamangalam, Muvattupuzha and its suburbs. The Management has undertaken the responsibility with a sense of commitment to transform the educational scenario of this region.

AIMS AND IDEALS

The school aims at the development of the integrated personality of individual pupil. The school provides an all round education- academic, moral and physical. The medium of instruction is English and the second language is Malayalam. Hindi is taught as 3rd language up to standard VIII. Besides the languages, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Computer science, Physical Education, Art and Craft are taught. Co-curricular activities like games, sports, dance, dramatics, debate, diction, elocution and quiz are given importance. Arts festivel, inter house competitions, elebration of festivals, Sports day and Annual day celebrations give maximum opportunities for the children to expand their talents. And from this year onwards the school is equipping for pruning the interested students in musical instruments too.
